What's Your Farm?

"Because Mother Nature NEVER takes a day off, I go to work." My grandpa was a farmer in the great state of IOWA and told me this when I was a little boy. He knew that his work wasn't all about him, he plowed the fields, planted the seeds, weeded the rows and prayed for great weather. But he knew even when he did all of that perfectly, he also always expected the unexpected. He learned to take the bad with the good and learned to Never Flinch! He loved his farm life and everything about it, so having Mother Nature show up, good and bad, was part of the deal and he dealt with it.

Most likely you are not a farmer, so what is your farm? What is your version of "Mother Nature"? What are you dealing with, and what can you expect from the unexpected? What brings out the farmer in you?
