Cybernetic theory says that there are two types of change, One is behavioral change, it's doing things differently. Like if you want to lose weight, you eat less and move more, simple, right?!!? This type of change is considered incremental, we change little by little. The other type of change is conceptual, it's seeing things differently.
It's a mental paradigm shift that refocusses the way we see our problems and who we are in the problem. This type of change is considered quantum, it happens quickly. Behavioral change happens when you understand conceptual change, you understand your why. Athletes and artists use this all the time, they mentally rehearse the game or the piano or their Broadway play.
